FIGHT

Violence against women and children is a serious public health concern, with costs at multiple levels of society. Although violence is a threat to everyone, women and children are particularly susceptible to victimization because they often have fewer rights or lack appropriate means of protection. In some societies certain types of violence are deemed socially or legally acceptable, thereby contributing further to the risk to women and children.
VAWC is not only a crime, but also a gross violation of human rights.

“It does not only affect women’s physical and reproductive health, but especially their mental and emotional state,” the Department of Health (DOH) said. “VAW limits human development and curbs their capacity to participate in social development.”

The Republic Act 9262 Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 has been significant in the protection of the rights of women and children against gender-based violence. VAWC Reports to the Philippine National Police have increased (49.4%) from 1997 to 2013.This act is important because it acknowledges femicide and gender-based violence as a global problem that needs government, nonprofit and faith-based organizations interacting to promote the improvement of women's livelihoods. It recognizes the increasing issues related to women's health and well-being

We were created equally meant to live in parity, women and children must be treated equally for they are capable. We should give respect, love, and support.

Every human deserves freedom.
